Thanks to everyone for making the 2009 James Sojourn a great success! We had a great time on the river and hope you did too.
2009 James Sojourn Description
The 2009 James River Sojourn kicked off at James River State Park outside of Bent Creek, VA on Friday, July 10. Over the following four days, we paddled down the James River stopping along the way in towns such as Howardsville and Scottsville. The trip ended in New Canton on Tuesday, July 14.
During the approximately 50-mile trip, participants learned about the Cultures, Landscapes, and Waterways along the James - Native Americans, Hurricane Camille, Batteaus, to name a few.
