Endowing
the Future of the Bay
The
Chesapeake Bay and its watershed have been a reservoir of life and its
richness for thousands of years. Your membership in The Chesapeake Society
of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay will help ensure the future of
that resource for years to come.
The work that the
Alliance does to foster consensus and build partnerships form the foundation
of permanent models of cooperation that will continue to improve the Bay
for future generations. Your thoughtful estate planning provides you the
opportunity to help the Alliance continue its good work.
Membership in the
Chesapeake Society is available to anyone who has included the Alliance
for the Chesapeake Bay in his/her Will or has made a planned gift to the
Alliance's endowment. Informing us of your plans to include a bequest
to the Alliance in your will is important to our long range planning and
allows us to recognize you and perhaps inspire others to help also.
Please contact us
today if you have included us in your Will or would like more information
about estate planning that could benefit you and the Alliance for the
Chesapeake Bay.

a bequest to benefit the Alliance in your Will.

UNRESTRICTED
BEQUEST
to provide general support
"I

Other tips:
- Review your
will annually. Marriage, birth of a child, change in financial status
for you or your beneficiaries, divorce , death of a spouse, named beneficiary,
executor, or trustee are all reasons to have your Will updated.
- Have your attorney
review your Will every two to three years. Changes in tax law could
effect your estate and may call for an update in your Will.
- Be sure to
use an attorney familiar with estate law when drafting your Will.
