For over 30 years, the Alliance has been one of the best sources of accurate and unbiased information about the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The Alliance is known for its ability to bring together the various interests in the region - citizens, elected officials, business leaders, farmers and watermen - to develop consensus solutions to Bay issues. The Alliance's respect for all viewpoints and its strength as an arbitrator has earned it the title, "The Voice of the Bay".

In addition, the Alliance engages citizen volunteers in hands-on restoration activities. From our site, you can download information about how to BayScape your yard. You can tap into a network of volunteer monitors who test water quality throughout the region and find out what they are learning. To keep up-to-date on activities and issues through the watershed, you can sign up for the award-winning Bay Journal.

As you can tell, it is our belief is that all citizens of the Bay watershed have a role to play in protecting and restoring the vast and valuable natural resources that make up the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
